High energy fun!

This is a high-energy show, based on the true story of the newsies strike and change to paper distribution costs. The actors were all excellent sand the dancing incredibly remarkable. We were sat in row DD of Woodside and, although a side view, felt closer to the action than the forward facing seats. Many seemed intent on getting copies of the papers so it seemed a shame they were cleared up quickly at the interval rather than distributed or perhaps thrown to the audience that wanted them.

Never heard of this show or even the venue before last weekend. Was looking for somewhere to take my wife for our anniversary. The show had Disney attached to the promo so I though it would be a good production. Storyline, songs and most of all the dancing was so powerful. If like me you don't go to the theatre a lot and are wondering what to see..... This is a great bet. We were 50/50 between this show and Pretty Woman. I've not seen Pretty Woman but I'm so glad we chose Newsies. I joined with the rest of the audience to give a well deserved standing ovation to the whole cast. I thoroughly enjoyed it but more importantly so did my wife :-)
